The last few days we’ve had a lotta things going on (not all good) .. our results , shopping sprees (we got amazing discounts) , project submission deadlines.. So surprisingly dinner wasn’t exactly the prime thing on our minds … one of the few times..
. In addition, it was also one of those times where we hada lot of random vegetables left over which we had to finish off before buying fresh new ones!
So yesterday, the things that we made resulted by mere assimilation of the remains of last week’s groceries:
Semia Upma – Khichdi Hybrid:
Was cooked for lunch. Mixture of all vegetables and spices – onions, tomatoes, capsicums, carrots, corn, peas . The Semia was already dry-fried . So it took just 5 minutes to cook in hot water. All the veggies and spices were added and allowed to simmer for ten minutes. After switching off the stove, the food was topped off with a little butter for highlights. The same spirit of jazzing up the food continued in the night, for our Fried Rice and Aloo roast for dinner.
